La Loche RCMP are investigating a fatal highway accident with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist. Early Wednesday afternoon, officers responded to an accident on Highway 955 north of La Loche, where two pickup trucks collided.

The driver of one of the trucks, a 31-year-old woman from La Loche, was declared dead at the scene. Her three passengers and the driver of the other truck were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
