Regina Police say an officer with the Canine Unit came across a man in the 1000 block of Angus Street Saturday evening shortly before 6 p.m. who pointed a can of bear mace at the officer.
The individual resisted arrest, according to police, and wouldn’t comply with police commands to drop the bear spray. That is is when a police dog was sent in and the suspect sprayed the dog.
The officer deployed a Conducted Energy Weapon, twice, to gain control of the situation. The man is now facing multiple charges including two counts of assault on a police officer.
