Due to COVID-19, the traditional process for voting in hospitals and personal care facilities will be changing.
City council approved special polls for all 3 Saskatoon hospitals and the Parkridge Centre on election day.
Special advance polls will be set up in each of the personal care facilities and similar institutions during in the city during the time period of November 2nd to the 4th.
In both hospitals and care facilities there will be a common area set-up for voting as well as election officials that will go room-to-room for those who are not mobile enough to meet in the designated area.
Use of main-in ballot process will be encouraged for the 2020 civic election, as home-bound voting options will not be used this year.
Returning officer for the civic election, Scott Bastion will continue to work with hospitals, and care facilities to finalize special poll voting.
