The Thunderchild Wellness Centre is getting a major infusion of government money.
Ottawa has promised 13.5 million dollars with the province kicking in 4.5 million.
The facility will include doctor and dentist offices in addition to a pharmacy, full-sized ice rink and field house.
Officials say there will also be space for events like weddings, band council meetings and community gatherings.
The complex will also be open to surrounding communities including Turtleford and St. Walburg.
The Thunderchild First Nation is about 90 kilometres northwest of North Battleford.
