A GoFundMe page has been set up to help a well known Saskatchewan figure skater whose parents died in the multi-vehicle accident near Cereal, Alberta on August 20th. Alanna Liu was with her parents, father Enwu Liu and mother Yaoquin Wang, during the accident and was injured. A third person in another vehicle also died in the crash.

The Saskatchewan branch of Skate Canada says the skating community is a very tight-knit and supportive group and the whole skating community is in mourning. The GoFundMe page has been set up to provide individuals with an avenue to support Alanna with the difficult journey ahead of her.

Liu represented Saskatchewan at the 2016 and 2017 national figure skating championships.
